After an intense summer and early fall of shooting in the Pacific Northwest, Quebec, and New England, I am pleased to announce the debut of my newest work at Seattle's Nepo House. The event is a collaboration with filmmaker Shaun Scott, featuring my photographic works and a screening of his second documentary film, "Waste of Time." All of this takes place on December 17th. My recent New Work Preview with fellow artist Rafael Soldi at Photo Center Northwest was a great success! We still have a few sets of our benefit collective print edition. I recently donated a limited edition of ten prints to Wall Space Gallery's Life Support Japan Benefit. All proceeds go to Habitat for Humanity and Direct Relief International's efforts in Japan. So far this benefit has raised over $25,000 to help Japan, with an end goal of $50,000. You can help by browsing the many beautiful images on the Wall Space site!
One of my pieces was selected for Todd Jannausch's newest art installation, which is currently being displayed in Seattle's Pioneer Square. Gallery (206) was a city phone booth that is being repurposed into a new public art space. The phone booth houses nineteen plexi-glass panels all containing art, an audio installation in the phone, and the work of 186 Seattle artists in the phone book, representing a total number of 206 artists. This phone booth has been installed in Occidental Park for the month of June, 2011.
Panorama II, 2010
Two of my pieces were recently chosen to go up on Seattle Metro bus stops as part of Photo Center Northwest's City Panorama Project. Both works are black and white triptychs compiling work from Roadside America. These images will be displayed on nine foot wooden panels on Seattle bus shelters through 2021. More info to come soon.
